Plugin website

  • Ajax Search Lite in action – 2 themes
  • Administrator area – nice and smooth

This plugin provides 1 block.

  • Ajax Search Lite

  1. Upload ajax-search-lite to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Place the shortcode from the settings into your template or post-page

After an update, the plugin stopped working or the layout is broken

It is most likely a cache related issue. Make sure to clear all website cache, including page, minify, browser and CDN as well.
After that, refresh your browser window by hitting CTRL + SHIFT + R buttons (CMD + SHIFT + R on Mac) a few times.

The images are not showing, what is wrong?

The search parses the first image from the post/page content. Most likely there
is no image in post.

When I type in something, the search wheel is spinning, but nothing happens

It is most likely, that another plugin or the template is throwing errors while the
ajax request is generated. Disabling all the plugins one by one can help you rule out which plugin
is creating the issue.

I disabled all the plugins but the search wheel is still spinning to infinity, nothing happens

You should contact me on the support forum with your website url. I will check your website
and will let you know what to do.

Having been with WordPress for many years and currently utilising many of the platform’s plugins, rarely do I have anything to say about ‘good service’ as opposed to ‘poor response’ and ‘awful support’. However, on this occasion, I have an exception …I want to give a shout-out to Ernest, the developer of a cracking plugin called Ajax Search Lite. To employ a British saying «It does exactly what it says on the tin …» Well coded, easy to implement and if you get stuck, fire off a question to him and bam – he hits your inbox with a solution and not, like so many authors, with the ‘we can’t answer as you’re not a pro user’.As an example, I was stuck on a CSS issue in Elementor trying to get the search box to correctly align, so as you do, I fired off a question to Ernest – within the hour he responded with, not one, but several potential solutions.Sadly, these didn’t work for me so he then asked that I send him the site URL, which I did bearing in mind I was not a ‘Ajax Pro User’ … A day later, he wrote back with a solution (which I could have kicked myself seeing the solution) and yes, it fixed the issue. This is how you get plugin sales – good support, a willingness to help and not keeping developers waiting for hours, days, even months for a reply?! Now if I had a wishlist it would be that authors added a routine that enables a plugin to be completely removed from MySQL to avoid bloating upon uninstall and, a time-limited peek at the at a pro-version as I have been stung way too many times with rubbish pro-plugins and losing my money! And there you have it ….So it is with pleasure that I give credit where it’s due to Ernest, this is a great plugin that even as a free version gives you a superb, superfast search function/option for your website big or small – it delivers! And if you get stuck – fire off a question to this Author and it’s as if he’s monitoring his inbox 24/7, see’s your question and BAM – he responds!Does this man ever sleep???And let’s not forget, as ‘users’, if we don’t buy pro-version plugins such as this to keep it updated, we the developers end up losing and then having to search elsewhere for a comparable plugin to replace it, right? So given all this, it’s little wonder therfore why Ajax Search Lite has 80,000+ installs!I’m done, what more could anyone ask for – an all-around, super-fast website search plugin which is arguably faster than a Google Search! So it is with pleasure that I write this plugin review for Ajax Search Lite – good Job Ernest and thank you!

My website’s search had switched languages and I had spend a long time searching the reason. Ernest helped me find the solution even though the problem was not caused by the search itself. Super support! Thanks so much!!

Works very well and offers a ton of options. The support is also top-notch!

Ajax Search Pro is powerful, indeed so powerful, that you absolutely need the very well-written documentation. I had very specific questions nonetheless, and the developer helped me step by step. He has patience I have never seen another developer have. He does the support himself, and the answers, help, and solutions come really quickly. This is a gold purchase!
