What if a real comment was hiding in those 10.348 blocked comments? I had real FOMO because of this Akismet feature. Human commenters never see the Captcha so it’s unobtrusive. So far no spam has made it through. Have it running in «Akismet-enhanced mode» and it’s blocked hundreds of spambot comments in just a couple of days.
